Holiday Assistance

Center offers holiday assistance
Do you need help this holiday season? Joining Hands/Pasco Holiday Center is offering holiday food and gift assistance to qualified families. Families must meet one of the following criteria:

* Have children under age 18;
* Current Social Security Insurance or Social Security Disability recipient;
* Senior citizens 65 or older; or
* Grandparents with custodial guardianship.

Registration is at Community United Methodist Church at 3214 US Hwy 19, Holiday, from 1 to 4 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday. For more information, call 727-937-3268.

Family Fun Day in New Port Richey Saturday, November 8

Kids' activities, a family fitness walk and parenting talks are on tap this Saturday at the third annual Pasco Kids First Family Fun Day. The free event, which runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Sims Park, includes $3 all-you-can-play inflatable playhouses and an interactive walk around Orange Lake in which children can enter a drawing for a new bike. A series of educational talks, ranging from voluntary pre-K to how to talk to your child about sexual abuse, will be given in Peace Hall.
