Phone Numbers for Your Local Post Office

If you have ever tried to find a local phone number for your neighborhood Post Office, you know it can be frustrating.  Fortunately, the phone numbers are available on the USPS website, if you know where to look.

First, go to the main USPS website (www.usps.com).  Then, click on "Find Locations" on the left side of the screen.  This will bring you to a search page where you can type in the ZIP code or city and state you want.  A search will bring up a list of post offices in that area.  Don't stop here, although you only see the 877 main toll-free number for the USPS.  Click on the name of the post office that you want to contact.  This will bring up a map of the location and the local phone number.

You can CLICK HERE for a direct link to the Post Office location finder.

Thanks. This worked.
I called the post office toll free and they refused to give it to me.

why cant we have the local phone numbers!!??is crzy..small town w/no mail bxes...need something quickly and done by a neighbor and all it will take is an ok from me to her the sub from the main post lady in case the letter she wrote on my po box fell off or somethign ok ing it to b picked up by them...will they give me the number...and you cant find it anywhere. The posting that j aldler left is no longer accessable either.I dont want strangers knowing my business, especially when this is extremely private mail thing and am told NOT to let anyone i dont know to begin with as what it concerns or it could bring trouble to us.This is wrong!!!
