A little known service available to residents is the Sunshine State One Call of Florida. If you are a do-it-yourselfer or just need to do some work in your yard that requires digging, you can call 811 to find out where underground utility lines are on your property. Best of all, it is free. By calling 811, your utility company will send out a professional locator to identify and mark lines on your property. It is done within two business days. By doing this, you reduce the risk of injury and prevent damage to utility lines. It's a smart idea to use this service before starting any excavation work. Check them out!
